Sister Schools Supply Drive
Our Peter Kirk Student Council is sponsoring a Sister Schools Supply Drive again! Children in Uganda need our help so they can receive a good education. It is the key to a better future for millions of children across the world. Our supply drive runs now through the end of Friday, November 14th.
Like last year, we are collecting new or used:

School supplies
Sports equipment
Arts and crafts
Health and First Aid needs

In addition to the supply drive, we are raising money to buy Sister School’s backpacks for the children living in villages in Uganda. They cannot attend school without supplies. Sister Schools will purchase the backpacks, and fill them with their much needed supplies. A donation for a backpack is $2.00 (cash is fine).
Please start sending in your new or used items and make a difference in the lives of children across the world.

Thank you!

EAGLES MARATHON Already a Great Success!
The Eagles Marathon, which began on October 2nd, is a big hit. After four weeks, some kids have already run the 26.2 accumulated miles.
(This is a new PTSA sponsored program where students will have the opportunity to run (or walk, skip, hop, etc.) around a .2 mile course during Lunch Recess as they work to achieve a healthy Eagles Marathon goal of 26.2 miles over 6 weeks.)

All participating students receive a lap punch-card to track their miles and a "toe token" for each mile completed. Prizes will be given out for the first boy and girl in each grade to complete 26.2 miles, and for the class with the highest percentage of students who complete the marathon.

Parent volunteers are needed during Lunch Recesses between Oct 2nd - Nov 25th to punch student lap counters. You may sign-up for a single Lunch Recess (30min) or stay for the combined Lunch Recesses (1hr). Sign up here Eagles Marathon Volunteers Any & all help is greatly appreciated!

11:30-12:00 for 3rd-5th grade and 12:00-12:30 for Kinder-2nd grade. Please, allow extra time to sign in at office.

The goal of the Eagles Marathon is to encourage students to be active, lead a healthy lifestyle, & have fun. Please, contact Marel Pease at with any questions.

Happy Running,

Marel Pease & Alexis Christensen
Eagles Marathon Parent Coordinators
